Considered to be one of Australia's most prestigious sporting Award ceremonies, The Sport Australia Hall of Fame Dinner is held annually at the Palladium at Crown in Melbourne.
Highlights of this very special Black Tie Gala Dinner include:
- The Induction of "Eight New Members" into The Sport Australia Hall of Fame
- Annual Elevation of one Member to "Legend status"
- Presentation of "The Don" Award
- Enshrining of "The Great Sporting Moments"
- Recognition of "The Team Sport Australia" Awards

- Presentation to the annnual "Scholarship Recipients"
The Dinner serves as a reunion for the members of The Sport Australia Hall of Famers making it the greatest gathering annually of Australia's past sporting greats.

The 28th Annual Induction and Awards Dinner was for the first time ever, fully sold-out. Over 1000 guests were welcomed to the Palladium at Crown on Thursday 11th October for this Sporting "Night of Nights".
