Proudly presented by our Major Sponsor – Etihad Airways, the Annual  Black-Tie Gala Dinner brings together the largest annual gathering of Australian sporting greats under the one roof, along with Captains of Industry, Sport and Government to reflect and celebrate Australia's most magnificent sporting achievements, past and present.

Induction into The Sport Australia Hall of Fame is one of the highest national sporting honours that can be bestowed. With 541 Members it represents the pinnacle of Australian sporting excellence; on and off the field of endeavour and across all sports and genders.

Presentations on the evening will include:

  • Induction of eight new Australian sporting greats into The Sport Australia Hall of Fame
  • Announcement of the 38th Legend of Australian Sport
  • Naming of 2016 ‘The Don’ winner
  • Presentation to the recipients of the 2017 Scholarship and Mentoring Program
