“When considering the stature of an athlete or for that matter any person, I set great store in certain qualities which I believe to be essential in addition to skill. They are that the person conducts his of her life with dignity, with integrity, courage, and perhaps most of all, with modesty. These virtues are totally compatible with pride, ambition, and competitiveness.”
Sir Donald Bradman speaking at his induction into The Sport Australia Hall of Fame, 1985

ABOUT THE CAPTAINS' FORUM
The Captains' Forum is an initiative of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in partnership with the Australian Sports Commission. It is an exclusive assembly of leading Australian sports captains and leaders with the primary objective of developing national responses to some of the most significant issues facing Australian sport and the community more broadly.
The 2009 inaugural Captains’ Forum on November 19th gives a voice to the leaders of sport and provides an opportunity to drive and champion real change. The Sport Australia Hall of Fame is in a unique position to facilitate this initiative as its Members represent every Australian sport including all Olympic disciplines.
